Frozen shoulder, also known as adhesive capsulitis, is a condition characterized by stiffness and pain in your shoulder joint. Signs and symptoms typically begin gradually, worsen over time and then resolve, usually within one to three years.
Your risk of developing frozen shoulder increases if you’re recovering from a medical condition or procedure that prevents you from moving your arm — such as a stroke or a mastectomy.
Treatment for frozen shoulder involves range-of-motion exercises and, sometimes, corticosteroids and numbing medications injected into the joint capsule. In a small percentage of cases, arthroscopic surgery may be indicated to loosen the joint capsule so that it can move more freely.
It’s unusual for frozen shoulder to recur in the same shoulder, but some people can develop it in the opposite shoulder.
TREATMENT FOR FROZEN SHOULDER
Medications offer a temporary relief, but they don’t heal. As a matter of fact, they even worsen the condition by creating a wide range of side effects, such as inflammation in other body parts. As for surgery, it comes with its own set of risks and no guarantee of healing.
One of the simplest and safest ways to stop inflammation is by consuming anti-inflammatory juices. With a frozen shoulder, juicing can be quite difficult so you will need to get someone to make them for you.
Here are some of the best anti-inflammatory juices which promote speedy healing of the inflammation affecting your shoulder. You can drink either one or both!
Beetroot is packed with betalains, carotenoids, flavonoids, phenolic acids and absorbic, all of which contribute to a synergistic antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects t reduce chronic inflammation.
- 6 large beetroots

- 1-inch ginger root
- Cut off the ends of the beetroot and the lemon
- Juice all the ingredients
Note: If you have never drunk beetroot juice before, begin with a little beetroot to see how the body reacts to it and what quantities of it can tolerate.
Pineapple is rich in bromelain, an enzyme with anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. It is recommended for treatment of chronic diseases and inflammation. Not only it works as a natural pain-reliever, but it also provides the body with various healing nutrients.
