Your colon does execute (or should I say excretes) the most obvious of responsibilities, however, it also plays a larger role in the overall health of your body. Not only does your colon discharge waste from your body, it also ensures that toxins, pesticides and other harmful chemicals leave your body with said excrement! It is an extremely important part of your body’s elimination and detoxification process – not something you want to neglect.
When your colon isn’t functioning properly, your body holds on to these toxins longer than usual, exposing your body to potential illness. These toxins sit stagnant in your malfunctioning colon until they are absorbed into the walls of your colon and then your bloodstream.

Let’s consider the amount of processed foods, refined sugars, additives and chemicals our body is exposed to on a daily basis. This puts a huge burden on your colon to get rid of these toxins at an orderly, and efficient rate! If you’re not regular, you could be susceptible to harmful bacteria.

If food intolerances or sensitivities are suspected – remove these from your diet for at least 30 days and slowly reintroduce them one by one to monitor how your digestive system responds.

3 Juice Colon Cleanse
- 1/2 cup organic apple juice
- 2 Tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon ginger juice
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 cup warm, purified water
- Place 3.5 ounces of purified water in a pan. You want to warm the water, not boil it so you can drink the water at a safe temperature
- Once it is warm, pour it into a tall glass. Then add the sea salt and stir.
- Add the apple juice, ginger juice, and fresh lemon juice. Stir.
- Drink first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. Then have this mixture again just before a light lunch, and again mid-afternoon.
